The first annual FACT Spa & Wellness Awards Dubai ceremony took place on Monday 7th April at the elegant ballroom of the Address Boulevard.

46 awards were given out across 23 categories which covered over 150 hotel and independent spas, salons, health clubs, and wellness centres.

More than 30,000 unique online votes were cast by the public in Dubai.

Around 200 guests enjoyed a sociable evening of delicious canapés and free flowing drinks at the Address Boulevard, which was awarded Best City Spa and Favourite Hotel Spa for 2018.

FACT Spa & Wellness Awards is part of a wider initiative by FACT M.E. who are already well established with their popular dining awards in the Gulf region.

We couldn’t be more excited to lift this off the ground. In what is our first, of many more to come, annual awards recognising the best in luxury spas and wellness in Dubai, we are very excited to see this event come into fruition. After years of trying and testing lavish treatments across the city from plush hotel spas to fabulous independent venues, Fact has become the luxury authority in UAE. We want to celebrate the leaders of the industry and continue to indulge in the finer things in life. As we prepare for our divine ceremony next month, we present the nominees in various categories. Dubai, UAE, May 2018: FACT Dubai Magazine hosted its inaugural Spa & Wellness awards on May 7 at the stunning ballroom of the Address Boulevard hotel. The much-anticipated event, which celebrates the on-going successful first year of operation for the publication in Dubai, was held at one of the city’s most sophisticated 5-star hotspots. Close to 200 guests were seen socialising at the exclusive event, whilst enjoying an evening of great company and food and drinks, as the winners from the 23 categories were announced.

The who’s who of Dubai’s hospitality industry turned out for the exciting ceremony turned party, with top GMs, Spa Directors, Marketing and PR professionals, as well as selected Dubai bloggers and social media influencers in attendance. Embodying FACT’s down-to-earth and fun approach, the event was a laid-back and casual affair with a touch of ballroom chic for an all-round classy vibe.

After years of trying and testing lavish treatments across the city from plush hotel spas to fabulous independent venues, Fact has become the luxury authority in the UAE. The FACT Spa & Wellness Awards Dubai celebrated the leaders of the industry who continue to be the gateway for indulgence in the finer things in life.

Speaking after the event, Greg Hughes, CEO at Nans Group, said: “We couldn’t be more excited to lift this off the ground. In what is our first, of many more to come, annual awards recognising the best in luxury spas and wellness in Dubai, we are very excited to see this event come into fruition.

“The spa and wellness sector is a multi-million dollar industry and pampering is an essential part of the Dubai lifestyle, so it’s amazing to share a mutual support between the media and the health and wellbeing market, especially because there are just so many high-quality places in the city,” he added.

“I would like to congratulate all the winners, and give a huge shout out to every single nominee. Without you all, this wouldn’t have been possible. We thank everyone who came out and helped us to commend the best and favourites in the spa and wellness game, and we’ll be back next year with even more to celebrate,” he said.

The FACT Spa & Wellness Awards recognise brilliance in the health and wellbeing industry, with winners awarded based on both public votes and critics’ opinion. Each category was given two awards, the BEST and the FAVOURITE. The latter is the result of a popular choice decided through online public voting, and the former is the critic’s choice decided by an independent panel of lifestyle bloggers, the FACT editorial team and industry experts in Dubai.

Some of the standout accolades included the Best and Favourite New Spa, awarded to Bulgari Resort Dubai and Renaissance Downtown Dubai, respectively. Iridium Spa at The St. Regis Dubai, Al Habtoor City walked away with two awards for Best Hotel Spa and Best Spa Signature Treatment, whilst other notable winners included Dubai hotspots such as Sisters Beauty Lounge, Tips & Toes, Iconic Fitness, Zero Gravity and more 5-star locations across the city.

The first annual FACT Spa & Wellness Awards were hosted in partnership with the Address Boulevard, DubaiNight, and Bath & Body Works.
